Various thoughts I have in the woods

The place I most like to find wilderness is in the Hudson Valley of New York.
Living in NYC, it can be hard to find nature. I think one can always find a sense of place and learn about the nature of wherever they are , but having spent my childhood with easy access to Trees it can be a little hard to be surrounded by buildings and concrete and glass all the time.
The Hudson Valley is thankfully reachable by train, the Metro North. A quick ride up to any of the cute towns like Cold Springs or Beacon will put you within walking distance of any number of lovely hikes.
